Week 2.1 - 17/09/18 - MOODBOARDS
In this class, Maddie and I reviewed our mood boards and determined the different areas of the 50s style we were intrigued by, from the diner style feel, right through to the 1950s travel posters, we also took a look at the 4 concepts we developed in this style over the weekend and established that we would move forwards with one each that we felt had the most potential to develop further. I opted for one that had an illustration of marinui as I felt there was a number of possibilities I could use for this, especially considering the fact Marinui is such a key focus of Lyall Bay.
Our class homework is to adapt both the imagery and text to convey our rhetorical concept much clearer. In order to do this, I decided to look a lot into my favourite travel posters to see the way in which I could develop it so it would align closer to these. I also intend to print it and pin it on the wall next to another travel poster until I feel they reflect the same style.
