3.2 - 27/09/18
This week we began discussing our other pieces we had to create to make this transmedia assignment work. This involves researching what we're thinking of doing for our third item as well as the style of web designs we think are the most visually effective. For our third item I'm quite interested in looking at a tsunami survival kit, to give a greater emphasis on our natural disaster focus. However, Maddie is very keen to do a postcard. I think it could be quite a cool idea to combine the two and possible do something like a survival guide which has a tear out postcard etc.
Today we also began looking at the developments we've made over the week. I spoke with Ant and Matt and they said they both quite liked where my design was heading, but thought there was still too much of a marinui focus and colour I attempt at pushing that to the background as opposed to the foreground.
They also felt that it could still do with more of a party focus, which I felt too and maybe I should try something like a confetti wave. I quickly mocked this up in class, but overall we agreed that it was too hard to determine what it was.
So I decided this week that I would aim to create less of a focus on Marinui whilst still maintaining a beach party scene that allows us to recognise Lyall Bay.
